Endoscopy in Auckland

We are Auckland's premier Endoscopy Centre.

An endoscopy is an examination of the gastrointestinal tract with a fine flexible camera. This is usually done under sedation. Generally you will not be aware of the procedure at the time.

It is a very safe procedure and can be used to examine the upper Gastrointestinal tract via the mouth. This is called a gastroscopy.

Also it can be used to examine the lower Gastrointestinal tract via the anus. This is called a colonoscopy.

Due to the ability to pass specialised medical instruments through the camera it is used for diagnostic (biopsies) and theraputic indications. We can remove polyps and early cancers, treat bleeding lesions, dilate strictures, band blood vessels and treat Barretts oesophagus.
