Alarm symptoms
Do you have weight loss, difficulty swallowing, pain on swallowing, vomiting, black bowel motions, have a lump in your tummy or have had a previous operation on your tummy? This could be due to an ulcer, an infection in your stomach or a cancer. Please contact us for an urgent appointment.
No alarm symptoms
If you are under 55 years old then you could ask your G.P. to check for an infection in your stomach and try an acid lowering medication. If this is negative or your symptoms persist then please contact us for an appointment.
Some food groups such as the FODMAPs can cause these symptoms. Non invasive simple testing is available at the Macmurray centre via breath testing.
