Nausea and vomiting

Acute nausea and vomiting

This can be caused by an infection, medications you are taking, pregnancy or a wide range of other medical conditions. If your symptoms are severe, ongoing, associated with abdominal pain, chest pain or a fever you should seek urgent medical attention.

Chronic nausea and vomiting

This can be caused by an inner ear problem, other neurological problems such as migraine, a thyroid or an adrenal problem or medications you may be taking. All of MacMurray gastroenterologists are also general physicians so contact us for an appointment. If it is associated with jaundice, weight loss, early fullness when eating or bloating then please contact us urgently for an appointment.
