Acute nausea and vomiting

This can be caused by an infection, medications you are taking, pregnancy or a wide range of other medical conditions. If your symptoms are severe, ongoing, associated with abdominal pain, chest pain or a fever you should seek urgent medical attention.

Chronic nausea and vomiting

This can be caused by an inner ear problem, other neurological problems such as migraine, a thyroid or an adrenal problem or medications you may be taking.
